Welcome back Katrina Gerencser!

Katrina has been a long time member of Beaver Valley. She started snowboarding at the age of 8, in 2002. She joined the Beaver Valley Snowboard Race Team in 2004, and began to compete in Ontario and in Western New York. After 5 years with Beaver Valley she moved to the Ontario Snowboard Club. She took a slight hiatus while attending Metalworks Institute, taking Recording Engineering and Sound Production and Event Management.

Katrina kept involved by volunteering at Beaver Valley to mentor young riders, and compete where she could.  After some great results on the NorAm tour last winter and graduating this season she decided to dedicate a full year to snowboard racing.  Results from the first NorAm PSL races of the year at Echo Mountain in Colorado, earned her spots at the first few World Cup Races where she has taken off to become one of Canada’s top athletes on the international stage.

Welcome Katrina home on Saturday January 30th 4pm in the Victory Centre.
