In the 25th anniversary book and to date Beaver Valley has a rich and renowned tradition of being the ‘Best in the Province’ for Snow School performance. Beaver Valley past directors, Hall of Fame recipients, Pros & Snow School directors have all played a role in placing Beaver Valley on the map.
Following the curriculum of the Canadian Ski Instructor Alliance (CSIA), Canadian Alliance of Snowboard Instructors (CASI) and Canadian Ski Coaching Federation (CSCF) our Pros advance their own skill and apply that knowledge and finesse to each class that they are out in front of. When the Pros tour to other clubs or go on their next certification level they stand out of the crowd as proud ambassadors for our club.
In the past 10 years our Recreation (Snowschool) crew has graduated numerous CSIA, CSCF & CASI Level I & II. To complete your Level III & Level IV requires an increased dedication of time & skill, mileage and experience. Our team has sent 10 CSIA and CASI to the Level IV course in the past few years.
It’s amazing that we have celebrated the Level IV graduation of Ben Boriss, Mark Young and Dano Harris!
Today we shine further –Mark Young is on his Level IV Rookie! Meaning that at the end of this week we have the first Pro for Beaver Valley Ski Club, in recent history that is certified to evaluate and bring along other Pros to the highest level of CSIA – the Level IV.
