One of North America’s most popular snowboard event tours, the “Burton Qualfiers” returns to Beaver Valley this Saturday February 4.
The Burton Qualifiers is a fun, open jam format event dedicated to showcasing the most progressive up-and-coming riders at the most innovative snow parks.
One of six stops on the 2017 Burton Qualifiers tour, Beaver Valley is the only stop in Canada! It’s also the last stop before the tour finals at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, USA.
Look for another exciting, custom park set-up from the Beaver Valley Snow Parks crew lead by Caleb Bosse featuring a multitude of rails, jibs and transitions with multiple approaches.
Last year’s Burton Qualifiers event at Beaver Valley was a sell-out event, so make sure to arrive early this Saturday to sign up. There is no advance registration and there is a cap of 100 riders. Registration is free and runs from 9:00-11:00am in the Silver Creek room in the Beaver Valley base lodge.
There are two rider divisions: 15 & Under ($600 prize money) and Open ($1,400 prize money).
Each division will compete in its own one hour session with riders taking as many runs as they like. Scoring will be based on trick execution and style. Riders should focus on not only landing their most difficult tricks but doing so with style! Judges will notice if you huck, come off a rail early or miss your grab, so focus on execution and style to stand out from the crowd!
The top six from each division will qualify for the $10,000 tour finals at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Pennsylvania.
